Hello, Hello! I'm Leigh Ann from Georgia. I married my husband, Alex, in November 2007 and we immediately knew we wanted to grow our family. For the next four years, we tried to build our family and spent a lot of time and money on fertility treatments, and never achieved a successful pregnancy. During the holidays of 2011, we spent a lot of time reflecting on how we wanted to build our family. While adoption was not our first choice initially, it became the best decision we’ve ever made. We adopted our son in June 2012 after waiting one month, and then our daughter in November 2017 after waiting eight months. Our journey wasn’t always easy, but in the end, our hearts are full, we gained two children, and more family members to love.
During our adoption journey, I realized that many families walk through the adoption process alone with very little education. After adopting my daughter in 2017, I did a lot of praying to God for my next steps. My family is complete, but I know there are many families who are not. I decided with my own experience and knowledge, and my heart for adoption, I wanted to help other families grow by adoption. I've worked hard over the years to build a successful process for adoptive families all while building relationships with ethical adoption agencies and organizations to help serve the families who put their trust in JAC. I am a member of the Florida Adoption Council and Help Us Adopt's Adoption Professionals Council.
While your journey and calling to adopt may look different than mine, I want to honestly and ethically guide you through this process so that you know you have someone on your side.
Fun Facts: I could eat Mexican food daily. Coffee is the only way I survive. I am a Georgia Peach but hate peaches. I'm a Georgia Bulldog and I bleed red and black! Most weekends you'll find me at a ballpark cheering on my son. My favorite place to visit is the beach and Disney. I pretty much spend all my money at TJ Maxx, Target, and Amazon.
Adoption Consultant
Hi! I’m Bre and I live in Alabama. In 2011, I married my high school sweetheart Corey. From the early stages of our relationship we both shared a desire to grow our family and wished to do so through adoption. Once Corey completed seminary, we began our adoption process in 2018. Just a few months later our beautiful little Stella was born in June 2018. We share a great open adoption relationship with her birth family and are so blessed they chose us! I have experienced both the joys and sorrows in adoption. In 2020 when we began the adoption process again, Corey and I experienced a disrupted adoption. Although it was not what we had planned nor hoped for, we knew that the Lords plans are greater than ours and we trusted that He is continuing to write our adoption story. In 2021, we received a surprising call that we were chosen by a mother who had given birth to a little boy the day before! A few days later sweet Oliver was put in our arms. We also have begun to build a beautiful open adoption with Oliver's birth family.
I have a HUGE heart for adoption. I love to share, educate, and encourage others considering adoption and navigating their adoption journey. There is no greater love we can show! My hope is that I can be a support to those seeking their own little one and connect them with the perfect adoption agency or resource to grow their family.
Fun Facts: I have had my cosmetology license for over a decade and love doing hair. My morning workouts are a must! I don’t like coffee…but love a good iced coffee and of course, Chick-fil-a sweet tea. The beach is my favorite place be. I’m an Alabama fan (Roll Tide!). My favorite stores to shop at are Target and Old Navy.
Adoption Consultant
Hi everyone. My name is Marcy. I live in Texas with my husband of 26 years and we have loved every second of raising our three children together. Proud mom brag…Our daughter is a social worker in Arkansas at a therapeutic day school and our amazing middle son is getting his degree in animation and game design and is a huge LEGO fan. Our youngest son is currently running track at my alma mater, Dallas Baptist University, and studying entrepreneurship. My husband was adopted as an infant and has taught me so much about being an adoptee. He is on staff at our church which has its own foster care and adoption support program.
I have worked in all parts of the adoption field where God has allowed me to help expectant moms making an adoption plan for their child, with adoptive families both during the home study and adoption process, as a support with both birth moms and adoptive families following an adoptive placement, and also as an adoption consultant. I enjoy writing adoption articles and doing as much research as possible for those I work with.
My favorite part of working with adoptive families is providing encouragement during the wait. My signature verse is “Be still and know that I am God.”-Psalm 46:10. I hope that each family I work with knows that they are prayed for, thought of, and supported.
Fun facts about me: I am a huge autism advocate. I love the beach, mountains, and Disney! I am a collector of books, but I often read several at once. If you are looking for me, you will likely find me at TJ Maxx or Target, with a Starbucks Hot Chocolate in my hand.
Profile Book Designer
Hey there! I’m Erica. I am from Nebraska where I live with my husband and our son. My husband and I dated in high school and ended up getting married right after I graduated from college. For three years we tried to grow our family. Through our years of waiting, God slowly put adoption on our hearts and we felt called to pursue it instead of any fertility treatments. Slowly, with lots of prayer and discernment, we stepped into the unknown and leaned into where God was calling. Five months into adoption wait we received a phone call from our son’s first mom and she picked us right there on the phone! A few months later our son Bennett was born and placed in our arms by his first mama. Again, in 2023, we welcomed another son, Asher, into our family by way of adoption. We are so incredibly blessed and thankful for each of our son’s first mothers; we have a very open and close relationship with both of them. Being on this side, I am so thankful for how God created me and the story He wrote for our family because it led us to our son.
Now, I am so honored to have the opportunity to help other families in their own adoption journey! Helping families create their profile books is an absolute dream! I have always loved to create and design. I truly believe it’s what God has equipped me for in order to serve others.
Fun Facts: I’m an Enneagram 3 with a 4 wing. I love waking up with a cup of coffee and sitting in the quiet. I am really into my cut flower garden (thank you Floret), thrifting, decorating my home, and reading my latest find. I also love being outside playing with our son, working on my yard, and being at the lake during the summer and by my fireplace in the winter. You will find me shopping at Target, TJ Maxx, and Homegoods!
